Ridley Middle School is set to host the 23rd Annual Linda Egan Classic Basketball Game this Friday, February 20, 2026, in the Ridley Middle School gym. Tipoff is set for 3:30 p.m.
This special event features members of the 8th-grade boys’ and girls’ basketball teams competing against faculty members in a fun and spirited game that has become a cherished tradition in the Ridley community. The Linda Egan Classic not only showcases school pride and teamwork, but also brings students, staff, families, and alumni together for an afternoon of excitement and friendly competition.
Proceeds from the event will benefit the Linda Egan Memorial Scholarship Fund. Each year, the scholarship is awarded to a graduating Ridley High School senior who has demonstrated excellence in Family and Consumer Science courses. Thanks to the generosity of local businesses and community partners, more than 50 students have received scholarships through this fund.
In addition to supporting the scholarship, all proceeds also go directly to Ridley Families in Need, a district initiative dedicated to assisting local families who require support during times of hardship.
Tickets are currently on sale before and after school, as well as during all lunch periods. Please note that no tickets will be sold at the door, so attendees are encouraged to purchase tickets in advance.
