As the new R-Thon team begins preparing for the 2025–2026 school year, students are setting big goals—and inviting the community to help them reach the finish line. To close out the calendar year, RHS R-Thon is introducing a festive new fundraiser designed to spread holiday cheer while supporting families in need.
On Saturday, December 13, the “R-Thon Elves” will host the organization’s first-ever holiday gift-wrapping eventat Ridley High School. Community members can drop off their holiday gifts, enjoy a relaxing Saturday morning, and return to find their packages wrapped and ready for the season. Whether you plan to shop, brunch, decorate, or simply sleep in, R-Thon volunteers will take care of one of the most stressful holiday tasks for you.
How the Gift-Wrapping Event Works
Those interested in participating must register in advance through the event’s Google Form. Two drop-off times will be offered—9:00 a.m. and 11:15 a.m.—with corresponding pick-ups at 11:00 a.m. and 1:15 p.m. respectively. To ensure an organized and efficient event, only registered participants can be accommodated.
When signing up, families can select a donation tier based on the number of gifts they plan to have wrapped. Payments can be made through the R-Thon Donor Drive, or by bringing cash or a check at drop-off.
Pricing:
• 1–3 gifts: $5
• 4–6 gifts: $10
• 7–10 gifts: $15
• 11–15 gifts: $20
• Unlimited gifts: $50
At drop-off, participants will complete a short labeling form so volunteers can ensure each gift is correctly tagged. Donors may bring their own wrapping paper if they have a preferred style; otherwise, R-Thon will offer a selection of paper on site.
For those unable to attend, R-Thon encourages donations of wrapping paper or tape to help support the fundraiser and reduce supply costs. Direct donations to the R-Thon Donor Drive can also be made at: https://chop.donordrive.com/rthon26
To keep the giving spirit going, families are reminded to mark their calendars for the Nifty Fifties Profit Share on Thursday, December 18.
The RHS R-Thon team thanks the community for its continued support and looks forward to a cheerful and successful holiday season.
