On Friday, April 25, Ridley High School will host its annual Mock Crash Event in partnership with State Farm and Main Line Health, aimed at raising awareness among students about the life-threatening dangers of impaired and distracted driving.
This impactful demonstration will take place at Ridley High School, 900 Morton Ave, Folsom, PA 19033, with the re-enactment beginning at 9:00 AM.
The mock crash features a realistic portrayal of a car accident caused by an impaired and distracted teen driver. Complete with wrecked vehicles, emergency medical services, fire and police response, stretchers, and dramatic visuals, the scene is brought to life by student actors and first responders. The goal is to give juniors and seniors a visceral, first-hand perspective on the devastating consequences of unsafe driving choices—especially as prom and graduation season approaches.
Following the re-enactment, students will hear moving remarks from representatives of State Farm and Main Line Health, as well as a Ridley High School alumnus personally impacted by a distracted and impaired driving incident.
This annual event is part of the school district’s broader efforts to promote safe decision-making and prevent tragedies before they occur.
