Wawa Community Day

On April 16, Wawa will celebrate their 60th anniversary at the National Constitution Center with Free Admission and lunch. The highlight of the event will be the unveiling of a limited-time exhibit of Wawa’s history and evolution.

Special Events Include:

Opening Ceremony and Ribbon Cutting: Wawa 60th Anniversary Exhibit
9:30 a.m. | National Constitution Center Grand Hall
Join Wawa for the exciting unveiling of a limited-time exhibit on their history and evolution from a dairy farm to a convenience chain of over 1,000 stores.

The Art and Science of Positivity
10:30 a.m. | Grand Hall Overlook
Following welcome remarks from Wawa President Brian Schaller, Wawa leadership will be joined by professors from the University of Pennsylvania for a special program on the convenience chain’s core purpose of “Fulfilling Lives.” They’ll explore the science behind how small acts of kindness that occur daily at a local store—such as customers holding the door for one another—can positively impact someone’s day and inspire continued kindness in our community.

Kids Town Hall: The Story of Philadelphia
11:45 a.m. | F.M Kirby Auditorium
Over the past 60 years, Wawa has cemented its place in Philadelphia history—something the city’s not short on! At this special program, explore the rich history of Wawa’s hometown through the eyes of some of our most famous residents.
