1333 School Facilities
The Ridley School District manages the building and grounds under its legal authority. The Board is committed to providing and maintaining these facilities for an optimal school environment as part of the total learning experience.
All areas of newly designed or newly constructed buildings and facilities and altered portions of existing buildings and facilities shall comply with Americans with Disabilities (ADA) Accessibility Guidelines for Buildings and Facilities (ADAAG). These guidelines cover temporary buildings or facilities as well as permanent facilities. Temporary buildings and facilities are not of permanent construction but are extensively used or are essential for public use for a period of time.
If full compliance with the requirements of these guidelines is structurally impracticable, the District shall comply with the requirements to the extent it is not structurally impracticable. Any portion of the building or facility, which can be made accessible, shall comply to the extent that it is not structurally impracticable or that a comparable alternative can be created.
The Board authorizes the appropriate district personnel to monitor the usage and accessibility of all properties.

1334 USE OF SCHOOL FACILITIES
The Ridley School District manages the building and grounds under its legal authority. The Board is committed to providing and maintaining these facilities for an optimal school environment as part of the total learning experience.
School district property also provides for some rare, unique or open-space areas within the communities served. With this in mind, the Board recognizes the opportunity for groups outside of the district to have an interest in or need for the use of specific facilities. Approved groups are charities and chartered organizations that must be insured to indemnify the District. Organizations, that fail to abide by the regulations for property use, may have a permit rescinded or be denied future permit access.
Annually, The Board of School Directors will approve the fee schedule for usage, custodial, and other charges.
The Board authorizes the appropriate district personnel to monitor the usage and maintenance schedule of all properties. To ensure the quality of all district property is maintained, the Board establishes that the district shall abide by permit regulations for determining the use of school facilities by groups or events from outside of district.
